Matthew Cantor is an accomplished financial professional and attorney with over twenty years of experience in corporate restructurings. Mr. Cantor is currently the Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chief General Counsel of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. (LBHI). Currently, Mr. Cantor also is the Chapter 7 Trustee for Downey Financial Corp. and a member of the boards of the Millenium Lender Claims Trust, the Washington Mutual Liquidating Trust and a number of other boards of directors.

Prior to joining LBHI, Mr. Cantor was a founding Principal of Normandy Hill Capital L.P., a distressed and event-driven credit fund with over $500 million under management. In addition, Mr. Cantor was a member of the nationally renowned restructuring practices of the law firms of Kirkland & Ellis and Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Mr. Cantor is a graduate of New York University School of Law (J.D. 1989) and the State University of New York at Binghamton (B.A. 1986).
